Dholera Special Investment Region (DSIR)

Dholera Special Investment Region (DSIR) is India’s first Greenfield Smart Industrial City, located about 90 km southwest of Ahmedabad. Planned under the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC), it spans over 920 sq km across 22 villages and is set to be larger than Ahmedabad itself.

Backed by the Government of Gujarat and Government of India, the project is being developed by Dholera Industrial City Development Ltd. (DICDL) to create a future-ready city with world-class infrastructure, seamless connectivity, and a fully integrated ecosystem for industries, businesses, and communities.

Strategically positioned between key industrial hubs like Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Rajkot, and Bhavnagar — Dholera is designed to become a global destination for smart, sustainable, and inclusive growth.

DMIC – The Vision & Plan

Delhi – Mumbai industrial Corridor (DMIC) is India’s most ambitious infrastructure program, Aiming to develop new industrial cities as “Smart Cities” and converging next generation technologies across infrastructure sectors.

DMIC will emerge as a “Global Manufacturing and Trading Hub” over the next few years.

Dholera will be the Largest Node On The DMIC and will most likely be the first smart city under the Delhi Mumbai industrial Corridor Development Corporation (DMICDC). It will have state-of-the-art utility & logistic infrastructure, social infrastructure including education, healthcare, other public amenities and much more.

Airport Connectivity

Dholera International Airport

Dholera International Airport is being developed by the Airports Authority of India (AA\) with a multi-phase master plan to ultimately handle 20 million passengers per annum in the future.

The greenfield airport is being developed with the boundary of Dholera Special Investment Region (DSIR) as part of the Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC). The airport will feature an aerocity with 75 hectares for commercial developments, cargo facilities and ultimately two runways — 3200 m and 4000 m long.
